Global was formed in 1998 as a joint venture of the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), the Gas Research Institute, and DMJMH+N, an international A&E firm and part of the AECOM family of companies, to address energy efficiency market transformation initiatives. In January 2000, Global acquired NEOS Corporation, an energy consulting firm that had been working with utilities, private industry and government agencies since 1984. In 2005 EPRI became the sole partner of Global Energy Partners. Then in 2006 Global became an independent, 100% employee owned company.
Global is proud of its rich history and valuable affiliations. Global continues to do significant work with EPRI on a contractual basis including recent studies on National energy efficiency potentials, Advanced Technologies for Energy Efficiency in Residential and Commercial Buildings; Technology Research Opportunities for Efficient Water Treatment and Use; Market Assessment for Client’s Power Generation Technology and various technology assessments.
Global continues to be involved in programs that were developed in our early days with EPRI such as the continuous update of the DEEM database and delivery of sector-specific end-use energy programs.
Our world-class team of energy industry executives, engineers and economists offer broad and deep expertise to clients.
